Every Story Deserves to be Heard

STILLPOINT PSYCHIATRY

Stillpoint Psychiatry provides compassionate, evidence-based mental healthcare rooted in deep listening. We honor the whole person—mind, heart, and story—and help individuals find clarity, strength, and hope through thoughtful diagnosis, individualized treatment, and meaningful therapeutic connection.

Centrally located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Stillpoint is a long-trusted mental health practice offering psychotherapy and psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults. We serve the entire state of South Carolina and offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.

Our Services

  • An in-depth assessment of symptoms, medical history, family history, and personal story to build a clear, accurate understanding.

  • Thoughtful, conservative prescribing with a focus on safety, clarity, and collaboration. Medication is considered when it meaningfully improves functioning and quality of life.

  • Supportive and cognitive-based therapeutic strategies integrated into visits when appropriate, with referrals to dedicated therapists when ongoing psychotherapy is needed.

  • Evaluation and treatment for children with behavioral concerns, mood or anxiety symptoms, school-related difficulties, and developmental or attention challenges.

  • Care for teens navigating mood and anxiety disorders, identity development, peer stress, school pressure, and transitions.

  • Treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, burnout, perinatal mood concerns, and life transitions.

  • With your permission, we coordinate with therapists, pediatricians, primary care physicians, school counselors and teachers, and other specialists to support whole-person and family-centered care.

  • Comprehensive, thoughtful assessments to clarify diagnosis and develop a targeted, individualized treatment plan based on your history, symptoms, and goals.

  • Optional pharmacogenomic testing to help guide medication selection by identifying how your body may metabolize and respond to specific psychiatric medications.

  • Collaborative, insight-oriented and skills-based therapy tailored to your needs, integrating evidence-based approaches to support lasting change.

  • Structured, goal-focused sessions to improve communication, repair patterns, and strengthen connection within couples or key relationships.

  • Careful, evidence-informed reduction or simplification of medications when appropriate, with close monitoring to maintain stability and minimize withdrawal effects.

  • Independent, comprehensive review of diagnosis and treatment recommendations to provide clarity, reassurance, and additional options when decisions feel complex.
